History of counter-strike
Counter-Strike was a very popular game in 1999 rated the game of the year and everyone who played games owned it! The game kept its popularity even to this day, and this is no surprise the game is filled with fast passed first person shooting action! The game is a mod for the ever so popular Half-Life 1 game engine which was sold to other company's such as the creators of quake for over a million dollars. Counter-strike Never seemed to get boring, the game did not have any single player support so it was all multi player action, unlike many other multi player games at this time which really sucked made by other company's, Valve seemed to get this one right on the target. When Counter-Strike first came out (v1.0) it was loaded with bugs, so many that you could hardly play the game without it crashing on you, but this was to be expected from a fairly new game on the market that had not yet been fully tested by the general public. Valve then released a major patch (v1.1) this patch fixed many of the problems that users were havening, and added new maps to the game as well as slightly enhanced graphics. As time went on they kept releasing minor and major patches which brought it to the latest release 1.6
A bit about the game and why it is so popular.
Many of you may be wondering as to why this game became so popular so fast, and kept its popularity to this day. Well that question is very simple. The game kept people hooked to it by never being short of action, players never knowing when an enemy may pop out at you. Running around the conner and and getting shot down by an enemy, sneaking up on an enemy stealth like and brining them down with a knife and laughing at them after wards. Counter-Strike was never short of a good thrill! The intense action of counter-strike was like a drug for many people it gave them the thrill of a high such as what is given on a roller coaster.
Closing Marks.
Well that basically sums it up for now anyways, if you haven't try out this game yet it is definitely worth giving a try.
