The recent arrival of new gaming consoles "Sony Playstation 3" and "Nintendo Wii" brings about a great debate over the internet. People all over the world are locked in a disagreement about which system is better. Sony fans are ecstatic about the arrival of the next version of the popular "Playstation". Depsite the large quantities that are now available in stores, fans insist that Playstation 3 is the system of the future.

Of course other people question Sony's motives. The website arstechnica.com explains the coming of the new monolith-like console: "This is the Trojan horse by which Sony hopes to get Blu-ray into as many homes as possible."

Aside from being pricey, expensive, and a total waste of my specific time, many other reviewers beg to differ. The ps3 system does in fact manage to hold its own with the xbox 360. The differences are few.

First of all, While the xbox 360 can only come with a 20 GB hard drive (if you get the package version), and the 20 GB goes down to 13 GB after emulation software. But still is that enough room for the hardcore gamer? Sony begs to differ. They introduce two versions of the ps3: the 20 GB version and the 60 GB version.

Sony also released their version of the ps3 controller. I call it: "The ps2 controller on wheels". It does everything that ps2 Dualshock controllers do, except, it does not rumble, and I guarantee you will be disappointed because of this one simple yet elegant feature. Sure the controllers are wireless and you can actually "turn" the controller to steer, but what is a next generation console without the rumble feature.

Unlike the 360, the PS3 requires that your controllers be plugged in to the monolith when you first pair them. A definite inconvenience for gamers who want to "Get up and Go".

So which system truly is better? The PS3, or the Xbox 360?

As you can see the two systems are about equal. So bringing in the Nintendo Wii, which is still bieng sold out in the first 15 minutes a store recieves a shipment, which system is better?

Well how about you decide? Vote for the console which you like the best, would rather have, or looks to be the future of gaming.

I had the delight to play the playstation 3 today. It seems like a good system, except for two things I noticed right off the bat:

1) The console itself is huge. I thought the 360 was big.

2) The motion sensor in the controllers is to sensitive. I found it hard to end up flying off a cliff every 5 seconds

im gogin for the wii sony is really hurting them selves and the microsoft has probloms and nintendo just releses the best its always good and never breaks on you tho they have had a "to sensitive sensor" installed on it but a patch for it fixes the bug sooo im just waiting till i can get my hands on one

its that or a brand new Pc sooooo.... im proboly going to get a pc and wait till the color wiis with the DVD player inside of them till i get it

going for microsoft on this one but like the wii and 360 so have a wii60 so voted for Xbox360.

Although i don't consider myself a console gamer, i have played the Xbox360 a fair number of times, at length, to me it seems a stable console and fills all your needs, and i have always been a fan of the Xbox controller.
I have had the fortune, or should i say misfortune of playing the Nintendo Wii, yes, i do understand it was one of the first if not the first console to have motion sensors, but that does not in the least change my opinion of it being a steaming pile of raccoon crap.
The PS3 has been a wait for many gamers i know, and i agree the graphics are a big step ahead of other leading consoles, but song has yet again disapointed me by its lack of features and design. Not to mention the crazy prices on the console.

That being said, i would have to go with the xbox360, although i would rather a PC over all of those, so my views don't go for much.
