Most people who buy photoshop, usually have a business, which they are making money designing websites etc..

There is alot of free software which is comparable to Photoshop, such as Paint.net (More like a major MS Paint Upgrade), Gimp alot like Photoshop, and Microsoft Expressions (Not exactly free, but it is for now until it comes out of beta).

im a student at UofL and there is a website i go to for students in school where they have programs and other things like 80% off i bought cs3 off the site for 200... but you do have to be a student

There is / was (dunno if it's there still anymore, if not, go look on veoh or megavideo maybe it's there now) a "tutorial" on youtube how to make your trial verison not expire ;-)
